The Lake
The Tonle Sap, the largest fresh water lake in South East Asia, and also the richest fishing lake in the world. Home to over 5000 people, the surface area of Lake Tonle Sap varies greatly by season; sources report surface areas of approx 30,000 km2. The TARA River Boat
Originally used to travel between Cambodia and Vietnam, the Tara is capable of carrying over 500 people. This unique vessel has a rich history and is locally known as the freedom boat. Now beautifully restored and open for visitors - come aboard and check it out for yourself.

The Tara is over 41 meters long, has a 120ft steel haul and weighs in at over 200 dry tons with a one meter draft.

Every tour is taken by one of our experienced guides, all of our boats are fitted with search lights and 2 way radios and a back-up boat is one standby incase of any breakdowns. Life-jackets are provided for all passengers.
